Marco Bezzecchi surprised the motorcycle world by claiming a shocking pole position with his Aprilia machine, just 0.016 seconds ahead of Alex Márquez. The eight-time winner of the German Grand Prix handled the treacherous conditions with masterful precision and secured his 73rd pole position of his career, although he was nearly prevented by a surprisingly fast Johann Zarco on Honda.
