MLADÁ BOLESLAV AIMS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE WIN, DUKLA SURPRISES WITH SPRING FORM

May 11, 2025   FK Mladá Boleslav - FK Dukla Praha   Lokotrans Arena, Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic On Sunday, May 11, 2025, FK Mladá Boleslav will face FK Dukla Praha in the playoff round of the Chance Liga. The clash between two teams from the relegation group offers a meeting of different forms and an opportunity to achieve interesting milestones. FK Mladá Boleslav have won their last two Chance Liga games and now have a chance to win three consecutive games for the second time this season. If they win, Mladá Boleslav would become only the second team in history to win the first three games in the relegation round after Pardubice did so in the 2021-22 season. For the Central Bohemian club, this is an opportunity to write themselves into the history of the competition. FK Dukla Praha have lost just three matches in the spring part of this Chance Liga season. Only three clubs have lost fewer matches in the league in 2025: Slavia (1), Baník and Jablonec (2 each). Du...

May 11, 2025 FK Teplice - 1. FC Slovácko   Na Stínadlech Stadium, Teplice, Czech Republic On Sunday, May 11, 2025, FK Teplice will face 1. FC Slovácko in the playoff round of the Chance Liga. The clash between teams from the relegation group promises an interesting confrontation of different seasonal trajectories and statistical peculiarities. FK Teplice have won both games against Slovácko in this Chance Liga season. If the "Glassmakers" beat Slovácko in their playoff match, Slovácko will become only the second team that Teplice have defeated three times in a single Czech league season, after Slovan Liberec last season. For the North Bohemian club, this is an opportunity to achieve a rare historic hat-trick of wins against a single opponent. FC Slovácko have collected just 34 points in this Chance Liga season, which is the lowest at this stage since the league reform in the 2018-19 season. Nevertheless, Slovácko (4 wins, 3 draws) along with Mladá Boleslav (2 wins) ar...

OFFENSIVE POWERHOUSE MEETS TEAM WITHOUT FIREPOWER: SPARTA HEADS TO FORTRESS OF DESPAIR

April 19, 2025 FK Pardubice - AC Sparta Praha The CFIG Arena in Pardubice will witness a duel on Saturday between two teams from opposite ends of the table. Home side FK Pardubice, who are already certain to participate in the relegation group, welcome Prague's Sparta, who are still fighting for a position guaranteeing European competition. The East Bohemian side is experiencing one of the worst seasons in their top-flight history. After 29 rounds, they have just 19 points, and it's already clear that this represents their lowest points tally after the regular season in the club's history. Their previous minimum of 24 points from the 2021/22 season will thus be negatively surpassed. Pardubice will also become the only team to participate in the relegation group in all of the last four seasons. "We realistically evaluated the situation a few weeks ago and know that a fight for survival awaits us after the regular season," admits Pardubice coach Jiří Saňák. ...

CLASH OF OPPOSITES: BANÍK TARGETS RECORD AS BOHEMIANS CLING TO LAST CHANCE

April 19, 2025 FC Baník Ostava - Bohemians Praha 1905 The City Stadium in Ostrava-Vítkovice will become the stage for a battle between teams with dramatically different ambitions on Saturday. The home side is experiencing a fantastic period – unbeaten in seven consecutive league matches, while the visitors are fighting for one last hope to avoid the relegation group. Under coach Pavel Hapal's guidance, Baník is enjoying an extraordinary spring season. Six wins and one draw in their last seven duels have catapulted the Silesians into contention for the top positions. A similar series was last recorded by the Ostrava club between August and October 2023. Saturday's clash is particularly significant in the context of club history. If Baník defeats Bohemians, they would set a historic points record after 30 completed league rounds in the Czech top flight. They currently have 61 points; a win would push them to 64, surpassing their previous maximum of 63 points from the 2003/0...
