THREE BIGGEST THREATS TO PHILADELPHIA EAGLES IN NFC

The Eagles come off their Super Bowl LIX triumph with high expectations, but the path to defending their title won't be easy.

1. LOS ANGELES RAMS

From Matthew Stafford's spectacular play to the grittiness of a young and hungry defense, the Rams have re-established themselves as one of the league's heavyweights. Proof of this is their Divisional Round battle against the Eagles, which was the toughest test for the champions.

Offensive strength: Davante Adams joins Puka Nacua, giving Sean McVay a pair of interchangeable WR1s. Tutu Atwell and Tyler Higbee can create big plays on various catch-and-run concepts.

Defensive growth: A collection of young players is progressing from roles as key contributors to elite playmakers. The Rams have a unit with a game-wrecking front capable of winning trench wars.

2. WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

If Jayden Daniels could lead the Commanders to the NFC Championship Game without an elite roster in his first year, he can lead a significantly improved team to Super Bowl LX in his second year.

Offensive improvement: Deebo Samuel comes from San Francisco as a rugged catch-and-run specialist. Laremy Tunsil solidifies Daniels' blind side.

Defensive reinforcement: Veterans Von Miller, Deatrich Wise, Javon Kinlaw, Jonathan Jones and Will Harris join a disruptive corps featuring Bobby Wagner, Frankie Luvu and Marshon Lattimore.

Warning: The contract dispute with Terry McLaurin has disrupted the offense's rhythm during preparation. The Pro Bowl receiver has requested a trade, escalating the situation. McLaurin is clearly the one who stirs the drink in Washington's aerial attack.

3. GREEN BAY PACKERS

A fully healthy season from Jordan Love could make the Packers serious contenders to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LX. The young gunslinger shows top-tier talent.

Offensive depth: Josh Jacobs has established himself as the offensive engine, but the deep and talented receiving corps operates like a committee of playmakers. Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Christian Watson share WR1 duties.

Defensive potential: Coordinator Jeff Hafley can continue confusing opponents with a clever "bluff and blitz" scheme that allows Rashan Gary, Edgerrin Cooper, Quay Walker and Kenny Clark to wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage.
