NFL 2025 Season: Complete ranking of all teams by Super Bowl chances
Before the start of the new NFL season comes time to evaluate all 32 teams according to their realistic Super Bowl chances. After months of preparations, drafts and roster changes, the moment of truth approaches.
Title contenders (1-5)
1. Philadelphia Eagles - The offensive line remains the engine of the team and with a complete roster they represent the biggest threat. Questions in secondary positions won't resolve their ambitions.
2. Baltimore Ravens - Lamar Jackson and excellent management work make the Ravens a rising team. The only problem remains the receiving corps, where DeAndre Hopkins should bring improvement.
3. Buffalo Bills - Josh Allen after his first MVP season and an impressive offensive line give Buffalo a real chance for breakthrough. High expectations are justified.
4. Kansas City Chiefs - Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid create a combination that cannot be underestimated. Every year they manage to surprise critics and reach at least the AFC Championship.
5. Detroit Lions - A healthy roster after last year's devastating injuries makes the Lions a strong candidate again. The loss of coordinators is a question, but the roster remains quality.
Playoff candidates (6-15)
Washington Commanders with Jayden Daniels at position 6, Green Bay Packers as the "secret" NFC North favorite at 7th place, Los Angeles Chargers benefit from Jim Harbaugh's return.
Middle pack (16-25)
Pittsburgh Steelers with Aaron Rodgers represent a "playoff push" type team. Atlanta Falcons are searching for their identity under Raheem Morris. Cincinnati Bengals have a great offense but defensive problems.
Rebuilding teams (26-32)
New Orleans Saints face salary cap problems and lack of talent at virtually all positions. Cleveland Browns still deal with quarterback situation after the Deshaun Watson debacle.
Season surprises
Tennessee Titans with rookie quarterback Cam Ward and Jacksonville Jaguars with Travis Hunter Jr. as a two-way player could surprise higher than their ranking suggests.
