FK Jablonec - SK Slavia Praha

Střelnice Stadium, Jablonec nad Nisou

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, in-form FK Jablonec will face dominant SK Slavia Praha in the 34th round of the Chance Liga. The match offers a clash between two teams with excellent current form.

FK Jablonec have won six league matches in a row for the third time in their Czech league history and for the first time since March 2018. Jablonec have never won seven consecutive league matches in their Czech league history. The North Bohemian side thus has a unique opportunity to write themselves into the club's annals.

SK Slavia Praha have gained 87 points in this Chance Liga season, drawing level with the highest tally of Sparta from last season. If they manage to gain at least one more point in the two remaining matches, they will set a new record in Czech league history. Moreover, Slavia are unbeaten against Jablonec in the last 15 league games (13 wins, 2 draws). The Prague side thus presents a huge challenge for the home team.

FK Jablonec scored four goals in their last Chance Liga game against Sigma Olomouc. Jablonec have thus scored at least four goals in five games this season, with only Slavia having more such encounters (7). Jablonec last had as many such matches in the 2018-19 season. The home team is thus experiencing an exceptionally productive period.

David Puškáč scored a goal as a substitute just 16 seconds after coming onto the pitch in the last round of the Chance Liga against Sigma Olomouc. It's been the fastest goal by a substitute in the Chance Liga since Zlín defender Dominik Simerský scored even after nine seconds against Bohemians in March last year. The attacking potential of Jablonec's bench thus represents another weapon for the home team.

Matěj Polidar scored a goal and recorded an assist in the last league game against Sigma Olomouc, already his second such match this season. Jablonec have the most different players (3) who have recorded at least one goal and assist in multiple league games this season (2 games for Polidar, Nebyla, and Alégué). Jablonec's offensive strength is thus distributed among multiple players.

Sunday's duel at Střelnice thus promises an attractive football spectacle between a team striving for a historic seventh consecutive triumph and a side that can create a new points record in the Czech league.
