MARMOUSH, SILVA AND MATETA RECORD BREAKERS: BATTLE OF BETTING STATISTICS AT ETIHAD STADIUM

Manchester City – Crystal Palace

April 12th, 2025

Saturday's duel between Manchester City and Crystal Palace will offer a clash of teams with different ambitions, but also several extraordinary individual statistics that may interest not only football fans but also bettors.

Crystal Palace's Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush is experiencing an excellent period in terms of shooting accuracy. In each of his last two Premier League matches, he recorded three shots on target and has a total of 12 shots on target in his last six starts, representing an average of 2.2 shots on target per 90 minutes. This consistency makes him one of the most dangerous players in the league in current form.

On the home side, Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva stands out with an unusual statistic. In each of his last eight Premier League starts, he has made at least two successful defensive interventions (tackles). Even more impressive is the fact that in just the last two matches, he recorded a total of 12 tackles - four against Nottingham Forest and even eight in the Manchester derby against United. This shows that this technically brilliant player also has exceptional defensive qualities.

Crystal Palace's French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is among the league's most productive scorers in recent weeks. In his last 10 Premier League matches, he has scored nine goals, which is an excellent record. Moreover, in eight of these 10 matches, he recorded at least two shots, which shows his consistent offensive threat. Mateta has thus gradually worked his way up among the elite strikers of the competition and will be the main weapon of the visitors at Etihad Stadium.

We thank OPTA for providing the statistical data.
