ANALYSIS: Eagles have the best defense in the league. So why should they lose the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl madness officially kicked off - Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles landed in New Orleans on Sunday night. Eagles touched down first, rocking a "Geaux Birds" flag from the cockpit (in New Orleans, they say "Geaux" instead of "Go" - French style, you know...). Eagles fans were so hyped they watched the whole flight online by millions - that's what we call DEDICATION!

The Chiefs, who are pushing for their third straight Super Bowl (and fourth in six years), landed shortly after. They stepped off the plane looking like they just walked off a fashion magazine cover. Patrick Mahomes showed up looking FRESH in his Hugo Boss fit, and Travis Kelce? Yeah, COOL as always. While Chiefs head coach Andy Reid kept it business in his suit, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni went for comfort.

Super Bowl LIX (that's fifty-nine for those wondering) kicks off Sunday, February 9th at 6:20 PM ET (0:20 CET) from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Chiefs are slight favorites.

MVP Favorites and Predictions

Chiefs and their coach Andy Reid are trying to do something no NFL team has ever done - win three Super Bowls in a row. And guess who's trying to stop them? Eagles - a team Reid knows WELL.

Chiefs might have their most complete team in years, while Eagles are rolling up with the league's best defense and a stacked offense.

MVP Favorites:

Saquon Barkley (+260)

Former Giants running back came to Philly with big expectations and #fak CRUSHED THEM. Ran for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns in regular season, then added 442 yards and 5 touchdowns in three playoff games. He's the Eagles' engine and could be the difference-maker.

Jalen Hurts (+350)

Sure, Eagles lost that first Super Bowl against the Chiefs two years ago, but Hurts was #fak KING that night. 27/38 passes, 304 passing yards, 70 rushing yards, and 4 touchdowns. He's not in the same form this year, but playoffs showed he's still that guy in big games.

Patrick Mahomes (+120)

He's the face of the league, his team's going for their third straight Super Bowl - so yeah, he's the #fak OBVIOUS MVP favorite. Every Super Bowl the Chiefs won, he took MVP. Partly because he makes #fak INSANE plays in key moments, partly because he's just the main character. If Chiefs win and Mahomes shows up, expect the same story. Even if this isn't his best season.

Travis Kelce (+1500)

Kelce's having one of his worse seasons statistically, but when it's go time? That's a #fak DIFFERENT BEAST. Proved it last year against Baltimore (11 catches, 116 yards, touchdown), showed it again this year against Houston (7 catches, 117 yards, touchdown). Eagles' linebackers and safeties are their weak spot - if they cover Kelce without help, this could be his show. Maybe his last one, too...

Defense is Key

Everyone's talking offense, but defense might decide the winner. Eagles got the league's top defense, but Chiefs might have the edge in this battle. They're eighth against the run and haven't let any running back hit 100 yards in their last eight playoff games. If they can stop Barkley, they win.

The Prediction

Chris Jones is a future Hall of Famer, Nick Bolton's already proven himself in big games, and their secondary bends but doesn't break. Chiefs' defense carried the team all year and they'll do it again in New Orleans.

Chiefs vs Eagles 27-24. Chiefs become the first team in history to win three straight Super Bowls. That's gonna be #fak HISTORY!
